Is your vessel half full or overflowing?

I heard a powerful sermon today and it made me think to myself, "Am I overflowing in God's love for my brother?" Pastor Miles talked about Facebook friends and the ease that you can "friend"  someone and not even know them personally.
In his series called Love Wins he talks about being "all in"  for a true friend.

  1. I've often thought about friends on Facebook. Many of my "friends" are people I played games with. How often do we get together with our friends? Oral communication has often suffered when we don't use it. It's a dying art in many cases. When we don't get together with others we can actually go into depression. Sherry Turkle, from MIT, tells us in her book "Alone Together" that the internet can actually lead to depression. We're alone together and I, for one, need my friends to feel whole in many ways. That's why God created woman for man. To be a companion in person. God was on the internet "of sorts". Adam needed someone to be right there with him. That's how he was created. It is the same today. We need to be with others.
